On The 25th of August 2015, the Project team from the Municipality of Mogila and the Macedonian Science Society was hosted by the Mayor of the Municipality of Koufalia, Mr. Ioannias Tsouknidas, as well as the rest of the project staff from the Municipality of Koufalia.
This was the first coordinative meeting between the project teams from both countries. In the beginning the guests from Macedonia were welcomed by the Mayor, who has openly stated his pleasure of working together on this Project as well as his high expectations of success and future mutual cooperation. His welcoming speech was followed by the Mayor of Mogila, who has expressed his gratitude for the warm reception and shared the attitude of Koufalia’s Mayor about the potential benefits from this cooperation for the citizens of both municipalities and countries.
The Project team members then exchanged their information on realized activities, as well as the documentation on the same, after which they discussed what should be their following activities, mutual and separate responsibilities and tasks. The representatives from the Municipality of Mogila emphasized the Opening Conference as one of the main activities in this period, where participation from all partners is expected. The Conference shall be held on the 11th of September in the Municipality of Mogila, and all the partners are invited and encouraged to attend, as well as officials from the EU Delegation in Skopje, the media and other interested parties.
Afterwards, there were several more specific discussions about the technical and scientific part of the Project, where Professor Igor Nedelkovski was mostly answering the questions from his expertise, on the type of plants that could be used for this Project, the studies on the same topic, the ES Software System etc.
After explaining the current and future tasks and activities to each other, the Project team members have agreed on intense mutual cooperation with open communication and full dedication towards fulfilling the goals and aims of this Project, which should eventually result with visible benefits for the citizens of both municipalities and countries.
